Shayla was born and raised on Vancouver Island, which brought many opportunities to fall in love with the outdoors. Still an outdoor enthusiast today, she has recently discovered a passion for paddling and is a certified Assistant Overnight Guide through SKGABC. When she is not enjoying the great people at Ocean River Sports, Shayla can be found studying kinesiology at UVic and searching for somewhere to adventure.
