Ben is a Paddle Canada Lv 1 Sea Kayak Instructor with L3 Skills, AOG (Assistant Overnight Guide) and PC SUP Instructor.  He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography with a specialisation in Coastal Conservation from UVIC.  His early paddling days are thanks to his uncle who taught him how to wield a canoe paddle from the age of 6.  From there, sea kayaking was the next logical step as his early summers were spent undertaking paddling trips around Denman, Hornby and Quadra Islands, and the lakes of Strathcona Park.
Ben has also been a tutor and youth camp leader for the Victoria Immigrant Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS) for about 5 years now.
You will find Ben holding down the fort at the Adventure Centre desk or leading your tour on the waters around southern Vancouver Island.
