Sea Kayak with Gordon Brown

Overview

The aim of the Sea Kayak with Gordon Brown program is to allow you to easily access one of the world’s leading sea kayak coaches and develop your skills in a progressive manner in order that you can take your paddling to the next level. This course includes all aspects of skills development and will help you, the participant, to reflect on your learning in a constructive manner.

You will work with Gordon to develop an individual action plan and use goal setting and feedback to achieve your desired level of success.

Successful participants on this course will be more aware of their kayaking ability, have an ability to reflect on their performance and set goals to enable their future development.

Prerequisites

We plan to offer one, two and three day courses at different levels of ability in the future. However for this first course the prerequisites are kept to a minimum to allow as many paddlers as possible to benefit.

  • Have performed a wet exit in cold water, not just a swimming pool.
  • Be open to learning different techniques.
  • Have your own equipment (or be prepared to rent from us).
