Overview

We are excited to offer this new opportunity in the beautiful Gulf Islands National Park. This comprehensive, 4-day expedition will help to develop the skills you need to paddle in new, dynamic waters and begin the training you need for touring in the Gulf Islands. You will see many natural wonders and beautiful marine life that inhabit the park from beautiful sand beaches, rugged cliffs, and marine mammals like sea lions, dolphins, and whales. Along the way your instructor will be honing your paddling technique, helping you to bring your strokes and skills up to the next level. Once you have arrived at camp, prepare for a warm, filling meal made by your instructor and take in the beautiful scenery of the area. In the evening bring your thinking cap and a notebook as your guide teaches you the many tips in campcraft, weather forecasting and current and tide prediction they have learned from their years of experience as a kayak guide and instructor. Finally wrap yourself up in a cozy sleeping bag and go to sleep knowing you still have 3 more days to go and much to learn on this exciting adventure, which will transform you into a more skilled and confident overnight paddler.

Prerequisites: Paddle Canada Level 1 skills certification. For those interested on taking their level 2
